Day 1: Tsavo East National Park

  • Morning Arrival and Game Drive: Arrive in Tsavo East, famous for its vast savannahs, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife. Start with a game drive through the park, where you’ll likely see elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
  • Aruba Dam: Visit this prime wildlife spot where elephants, buffaloes, and other animals come to drink. It’s a great place for birdwatching as well.
  • Elephant Herds: Tsavo East is known for its large populations of elephants, often seen covered in the park’s red soil. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to observe them up close.
  • Overnight in Tsavo East: Stay at a lodge or camp within the park, such as Voi Wildlife Lodge or Sentrim Tsavo, to unwind after a full day of safari.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

  • Morning Transfer to Amboseli: After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, about a 3-hour drive from Tsavo East. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).
  • Game Drive in Amboseli: Begin your exploration of Amboseli, known for its large elephant herds and scenic landscapes. The park offers excellent photo opportunities with elephants in front of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Wildlife Viewing: Besides elephants, you may also spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. The open plains and marshes of Amboseli provide excellent game viewing.
  • Overnight in Amboseli: Stay at a lodge or camp, such as Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, which offers beautiful views of the park and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: More Wildlife in Amboseli and Departure

  • Morning Game Drive: Start the day early with another game drive in Amboseli. The early morning hours provide great opportunities for capturing wildlife, including elephants and predators like lions.
  • Amboseli Swamps: Visit the Amboseli swamps, where you can see elephants bathing in the water and various bird species. The swamps are also home to hippos and other animals.
  • Cultural Experience: Depending on your schedule, you may have time to visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about the culture of the local Maasai people.
  • Lunch and Relaxation: After lunch, you can relax at your lodge or enjoy a final short game drive before departing.
  • Afternoon Departure: After your final activities, you’ll leave Amboseli and head to your next destination or return to Nairobi.

Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East

Early morning drive to Tsavo East National Park. Commence the morning game drive through this largest park, with a chance to spot herds of Red Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Gazelles, Buffaloes, Leopard, Waterbucks, Impalas and different bird species. Check in as well lunch at the lodge. After lunch, relax. The afternoon will hold yet more game drives.  Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge/ Sentrim Tarhi Camp.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli

Depart  Tsavo East and drive approximately 250 kilometers to Amboseli National Park. Make game drive and check in the lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax and make an evening game drive in this magnificent park on the back drop of Mount Kilimanjaro in search for lions, cheetah, buffalo and  elephant. Plenty of plains game will be seen. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Camp or AA Lodge.

Day 3 : Amboseli – Mombasa

Early breakfast,  make the final game drive as you exit the park before midday to have lunch at Lion Hill Camp/ Voi town. Proceed to Mombasa with afternoon arrival at your coastal hotel.
