STANDARD MID-RANGE SAFARI TOUR PACKAGE
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
- Departure from Nairobi: Leave early (around 6:00 AM) from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, approximately 4-5 hours away. This park is renowned for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
- Arrival & Check-in: Arrive around midday, check in at your lodge/camp.
- Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, and many more animals in this iconic park.
- Overnight: Stay at a lodge or camp in or near the park.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
- Morning Game Drive: Start with an early morning game drive when wildlife is more active.
- Midday at the Lodge: Return to the lodge for lunch and relax.
- Afternoon Game Drive: Go for another game drive in the afternoon to maximize your chances of spotting wildlife.
- Overnight: Another night at your Amboseli accommodation.
Day 3: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
- Morning Game Drive in Amboseli: Head out early for one last game drive in Amboseli, before you leave.
- Travel to Tsavo West: After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West, a 3-4 hour journey. Tsavo West is known for its volcanic hills, Mzima Springs, and diverse wildlife.
- Afternoon Game Drive in Tsavo West: Upon arrival, go on an afternoon game drive. Visit Mzima Springs to see hippos and crocodiles, and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes.
- Overnight: Stay at a lodge or camp in Tsavo West.
Day 4: Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park
- Morning Game Drive in Tsavo West: Enjoy a morning game drive, possibly spotting the park’s famous “red elephants” and other wildlife.
- Travel to Tsavo East: After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East, around 2-3 hours away.
- Afternoon Game Drive in Tsavo East: Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is known for its expansive savanna and large elephant herds.
- Overnight: Stay at a lodge or camp in Tsavo East.
Day 5: Tsavo East to Mombasa
- Morning Game Drive in Tsavo East: Set out early for one last game drive to see more wildlife before heading to Mombasa.
- Departure to Mombasa: After breakfast, leave Tsavo East for Mombasa, which is about a 2-3 hour drive.
- Arrival in Mombasa: Arrive in Mombasa by midday or early afternoon.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli
Depart Nairobi in the early morning and drive 170kms towards Namanga on the Tanzania border and another 80kms to reach Amboseli in the early afternoon. Make game drive en route Amboseli Serena, check in at the lodge for lunch and later in the evening, depart for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.
Day 2: Amboseli
Spend the day exploring the park. The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West
After breakfast, leave for Tsavo West National Park. This is an approximately 125kms stretch that will take you almost 2 hours. Visit Chyulu hills and the Mzima springs which are favourite haunts for both hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observatory. Meals and overnight at Severin Camp or similar.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Tsavo East
In the early morning, drive to Tsavo East, the largest park in Kenya and famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and the fine scenery. Visit the scenic Lugard falls, Mudanda rock which attracts elephants in the drier season and Aruba dam as we view game. Meals and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge/ Voi wildlife/Ashnil Aruba.
Day 5: Tsavo East – Mombasa
Early morning game. Soon after breakfast proceed to Mombasa an approximately 200kms drive arriving in time for lunch in a restaurant in town. Later transfer to Southern Palms Beach Resort/ Neptune hotels for a beach holiday for your desired number of days.
